What should we do now to minister to our suffering people? I hope na itong mga principles na ibabahagi ko ngayon sa inyo ay makatulong sa inyo para manatiling naka-angkla ang ministry natin sa di nagbabagong mga katotohanan ng Salita ng Diyos.

When Pastors are Suffering
I invite you sa first session na ‘to he honest with ourselves, with each other, with our church and especially with God. If our members are suffering, tayo rin. Di naman tayo exempted. Hindi lang tayo leader, member din tayo ng church. Hindi lang tayo pastor, isa rin tayo sa mga tupa.
Sermon: “I will Rejoice in the Lord” (Hab. 3:16-19)
It is good to be optimistic. Pero dapat realistic din tayo. Expect what is best, but prepare for the worst. Kailangan natin ng assurance, yung hope na naka-anchor sa truth of God’s word hindi yung positive thinking lang, wish lang. Yun lang naman kasi ang makapagbibigay sa atin ng anchor for our joy.
“The Salvation of Your People” (Hab. 3:8-15)
In Jesus we have victory, we have hope, we have assurance. Mula pa sa simula, hanggang ngayon, God declares an all-out war against his enemies to accomplish salvation for us. Di man natin nakikita ang kaaway natin ngayon – especially itong coronavirus ngayon – ang mahalaga ay tingnan natin kung ano ang ginawa na ng Diyos para sa atin through the work of Christ on the cross.
“In Wrath Remember Mercy” (Hab. 3:1-7)
Meron naman talagang time to discuss, to study, to argue, to ask questions. Meron ding time to listen, time to reflect, time to look back sa work ni God in history – especially the cross. This is a time to worship God, believe in God and rejoice in God. Yun ang pinakamahalaga sa lahat. Tulad ni Martha, we can be distracted about so many things sa pandemic ngayon, trying to resolve problems, navigate tensions, but forget the one thing necessary, to listen at the feet of Jesus and worship him.
“As the Waters Cover the Sea” (Hab. 2:6-14)
Itong time of suffering during this pandemic ay ginagamit ng Diyos to spread the gospel to all nations, to awaken sinners to the glory of God, and to call them to repentance and faith in Jesus. Let us join God in what he is doing among the nations.
