Lahat tayo, lahat ng tao, kahit anong lahi o kultura, we all long for intimate, loving relationships lalo na ang pag-aasawa. Yan ang most intimate of all human relationships. Walang ibang relasyon sa pagitan ng dalawang tao ang may higit na potential for highest joy (and greatest pain!) kaysa sa relasyong mag-asawa. But we long not just to have that relationship for 3 months or 3 years or 30 years.

We want something that will last, hindi matatapos, hindi magwawakas, hindi masisira. “What a person desires is unfailing love” (Pro 19:22 NIV). Sa ESV, “What is desired in a man is steadfast love.” By biblical definition, true love “never fails” – “ang pag-ibig ay walang hangganan” (1 Cor. 13:8). We all long for that kind of love. “Love [that] will last forever” (NLT).
