You have to admit na ang dami nating inconsistencies. Sala sa init, sala sa lamig. Minsan mainit, minsan malamig. We can make a renewed commitment na mas maging consistent, pero hindi doon nakasalalay ang solusyon sa problema natin sa devotion natin sa Panginoon. We know that. We tried that. It doesn't work. Temporarily siguro, pero sa pangmatagalan? No. What we need is not our resolve to be consistent, but faith in God's consistency. Yung constant care niya, yung faithfulness niya sa promises niya, yung consistent work niya from beginning to end of our story, from beginning to end of all of human history.
It is Finished! (Ezra 5-6)
We don't really have any reason to stop doing his work. Hindi pwedeng saka na, hindi pwedeng mamaya na. Dapat ngayon na. Bakit? Because grace is available to us. Joy is waiting for us at the end. When we do his work to the end, we get the joy, God gets the glory. Forever.
Rebuilding and Opposition (Ezra 3-4)
Ang pagsamba sa Diyos ang dapat nasa sentro ng buhay ng mga anak ng Diyos. The worship of God is central to the life of the people of God. Ito dapat ang prayoridad natin, na higit pa sa lahat ng ating ginagawa sa buhay.
Hearts Stirred Up (Ezra 1-2)
Our hope is in God who is sovereign overall and can change the heart of anyone to be obedient to his word and to fullfill his redemptive purposes. If he can do this with King Cyrus, he can do this with anyone.
