Paano nga iaapply ang gospel sa mga di-pagkakasundo? Paano kung ikaw ang may atraso sa iba? Mahirap umamin at humingi ng tawad. Kapag ikaw ang naagrabyado—may ninakaw sa ‘yo, may utang na hindi mabayaran o ayaw bayaran, o may ginawang masama laban sa ‘yo—mahirap magpatawad, mahirap maibalik ang dating magandang relasyon. O kung mabalitaan mo na may ganito sa church, mahirap makialam. Mas madali sa atin ang tahimik lang, umiwas lang, o ipalagay na okay lang naman ang lahat at no big deal naman yung mga ganyan. But if we care about the gospel of Christ, we must care about our relationships sa loob ng church.
Gospel Godliness: The Message of Titus
We as a church love the gospel. We love the preaching of the gospel. Yun ang prayer natin palagi na magpatuloy na maging passion ng church natin—a passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pero yung passion na yun ang prayer din natin na maging passion natin for godliness o yung matuwid, tama at banal na pamumuhay. Sabi ni Kevin DeYoung, “There is a gap between our love for the gospel and our love for godliness. This must change” (The Hole in Our Holiness, 21).
