May we always remember that we are great sinners, until now, but we have a great Savior, his name is Jesus. Ang buhay natin ay dahil sa kanya. Ang buhay natin ngayon ay para sa kanya. Ang buhay natin ay ang makasama siya forever and ever. One day, sex will be no more, sexual sins will be no more. All we have is Christ. And he is more than enough for us, for all of us.
We don’t decide for ourselves kung ano ang tama patungkol sa sex or any relationship. Hindi kung ano ang gusto natin, hindi kung ano ang socially and culturally acceptable…Ang standard at boundary natin ay kung ano ang sinasabi ng Diyos. We don’t take church discipline and holiness seriously because we take our sins or that of others lightly.
Nilagay ng Diyos ang mga sexual and relational boundaries na ‘to for our good and for his glory. Alam ng Diyos, in his wise design, na ang sexual intimacy para maging good for us and glorifying to him ay sa relasyon lang ng mag-asawa.
“For this is the will of God, your sanctification…” (v. 3). Klarong-klaro ang kalooban ng Diyos. Our sanctification. Noong tayo’y iniligtas ni Cristo, sinimulan din niya ang image restoration project sa atin. Para unti-unti, araw-araw, progressively, hinahatak niya tayo palayo sa kasalanan at kamunduhan, at inilalapit niya tayo sa Diyos at sa kanyang kabanalan para tayo’y maging tulad niya. Yan ang kalooban ng Diyos sa iyo, single ka man o may asawa. Our goal in life is not pursuing marriage, but pursuing Christ. Not to be someone na ila-like ng maraming tao o ng crush mo, but to be someone like Christ.
