Gospel Endurance: The Message of 2 Timothy

In the end, we need to realize that our greatest reward—our ultimate goal in enduring sufferings in the ministry—is none other than Christ himself.

Sermon: No Separation (Rom. 8:35-39)

Paano kung huminto na ang pagmamahal ng Diyos sa akin? Paano kung sobrang laki ng kasalanan ang nagawa ko at magsawa na siyang magmahal sa akin? Paano ako makatitiyak na secured ako in the loving hands of God? Ang problema kasi sa atin dinadala natin sa Diyos ang mga karanasan natin sa relasyon natin sa ibang tao. Nakakalimutan nating ang Diyos ay hindi tao na tulad natin na may hangganan ang pagmamahal. We have a God whose love is everlasting, eternal, unfailing, unchangeable, unbreakable, sure and certain—for every one of his children.

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith (Hab. 2:1-5)

Merong panahong itinakda ang Diyos sa lahat ng bagay sa plano niya sa kasaysayan. Don’t expect immediate fulfillment. Kaya naman gawin ng Diyos na isang salita niya lang, isang iglap niya lang mangyayari na, hihinto na ang sufferings natin, mawawala na ang coronavirus. Pero meron siya reason – known only to him – bakit di niya ginagawa o agad ginagawa.

Rebuilding and Opposition…Again (Nehemiah 3-4)

As we trust God, we obey. Anuman ang sabihin ng iba, anuman ang gawin laban sa atin, susunod tayo sa Diyos. And we do it with vigilance…we face the dangers. Discipleship is risky. Dapat alerto tayo 24 oras. It might cost us our lives, but our lives will not be wasted. Sulit, hindi sayang.

It is Finished! (Ezra 5-6)

We don’t really have any reason to stop doing his work. Hindi pwedeng saka na, hindi pwedeng mamaya na. Dapat ngayon na. Bakit? Because grace is available to us. Joy is waiting for us at the end. When we do his work to the end, we get the joy, God gets the glory. Forever.

Stand Firm (1 Peter 5:8-14)

Dito sa gospel na ‘to tayo tumatayo at mananatiling nakatayo. This is about persevering fatih. We believe in the gospel hindi lang sa simula, kundi hanggang sa katapusan. If you don’t stand in the gospel, you will not stand at all. If you don’t go deeper into the gospel, you will not go farther in the Christian life.
