Grace When Life is Hard (1 Peter)

Kahit na “for a little while” (1:6; 5:10) ang mga sufferings natin, feeling natin ang tagal-tagal matapos. And it will not end in this lifetime. It’s hard to take. Madali pang pakinggan yung, “Wag kayong mag-alala, matatapos din yan, magiging okay din ang lahat, things will get better, you will enjoy your best life now.” Pero hindi totoo yun. These realities are hard to swallow, but that’s the truth.

At kailangan nating malaman hindi yung kung ano ang mangyayari o kelan matatapos, kundi kung paano tayo dapat magrespond when life is hard. At dahil mahirap ang buhay araw-araw, kelangan nating matutunan ‘to. Word of God ‘yan. Hindi lang basta Word of God, “treasure trove of gospel riches,” sabi ng isang commentary.
