Bible Reading Plans

Here are some of the Bible reading plans that I find very helpful:

Read the Bible for Life Chronological Reading Plan. The material of the Bible has been organized to flow in chronological order. Since exact dating of some materials or events is not possible, the chronology simply represents an attempt to give you the reader the general flow and development of the Bible’s grand story.

Read the Bible for Life Start Here Plan. An abbreviation of the full Chronological Reading plan. This plan is meant for those who are not quite ready to tackle the whole plan, but who want to read through the highlights of the Story of Scripture.

Read the Bible for Life 4+1 Plan. Read through the entire Bible in a year and through the Psalms twice. The advantage of this type of plan is that you will be exposed to various parts of the Old and New Testaments simultaneously, which will keep your reading very fresh and remind you of “the whole counsel of God”! Kingdom Bible Reading Plan. In this reading plan, you will read through the Psalms twice and other books of the Bible once. There are four readings for each day – one in the New Testament, and three in the Old Testament. One benefit of this plan is that you will see the unity of the Scriptures as you read in different sections each day.

The Discipleship Journal Bible Reading Plan. Read four places in God’s Word every day to better grasp the unity of the Scriptures. Read the complete Bible in one year.

The 5x5x5 Bible Reading Plan.5 minutes per day, 5 days per week, 5 ways to dig deeper. Takes you through one chapter each day. Read the New Testament in one year.

Book-at-a-Time Bible Reading Plan. Interperses Old and New Testament books in each month’s readings, with the four gospels spread throughout the year. Read the complete Bible in one year.
