Doulos School of Ministry exists “to train followers of Jesus to be servants of His Word to reach His World.” Making disciples involves “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:19). Church leaders such as pastors and elders must be “able to teach” (1 Tim. 3:2). “He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it” and “teach what accords with sound doctrine” (Tit. 1:9; 2:1). To be able to do that, Paul charged Timothy, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15).
There are a lot of untrained church leaders and pastors. Many cannot go to seminaries and Bible schools because of distance and lack of financial resources. We need to do something to meet this demand and offer a curriculum that is biblical, missional, comprehensive, transferable, affordable, accessible and empowering to those who desire to be more effective in ministry. Doulos School of Ministry partners with Crossing Cultures in using their Bible Training Centre for Pastors and Church Leaders core curriculum. In addition to that, we start our training by introducing students to biblical theology and how to use Bible stories in evangelism, discipleship and church planting. We also integrated Kairos Course to educate students on global disciplemaking.
Each student should prepare 600 pesos for ESV Global Study Bible (this will serve as our textbook for the whole duration of your training), plus 300 pesos per course manual, and 30 pesos per class hour (3 to 4 hours a week).
Courses included in the church leadership track (470 hrs, about 3 years to complete) are:

- Kairos Course: God, the Church and the World (40 hrs)
- Preaching and Pastoral Ministry (60 hrs)
- Missions, Evangelism and Discipleship (60 hrs)
- Bible Doctrine Survey (60 hrs)
- Personal Spiritual Life (40 hrs)
- Church Ministry, Administration and Education (40 hrs)
Pastoral leadership track (570 hrs, about 3 1/2 years to complete) also covers these courses plus two more:
- Teaching Principles and Methods (40 hrs)
- Church History Survey (60 hrs)
