The Power of Jesus

I believe in the power of the name of Jesus. The Word of God is witness to it. I also experienced it even when I was still a child.God used that experience to validate and increase my faith in the authority of Jesus over evil spirits. I was about 9 or 10 at that time and still a new Christian. One of our helpers in the house was demon-possessed. Every night for several days, she will hurry inside her room and shout while her body was shaking violently.

Some pastors and members of our church came to our house almost every night. And I will hear them say, “In the name of Jesus, come out of her!” The demon (or demons) inside her trembles in fear every time he hears the name of Jesus. Although they didn’t leave immediately, they were finally gone after several days.

Every night during that time we also sing this song, “In the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, we have the victory. In the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, Satan will have to flee. In the mighty name of Jesus, we have the victory.” At a very young age, I already knew that this Jesus is real. And his name is powerful.
