Sainthood

Who are the saints? How does one become a saint? Who bestows the status of sainthood? How does one live like a true saint? Read the passages below and let me know how you will answer these questions.

To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints… (Rom. 1:7)

To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus. (1 Cor. 1:2)

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. (Eph. 2:19)

But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. (Eph. 5:3)

To the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father. (Col. 1:2)

Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. (Col. 1:12)

So that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints. (1 Thess. 3:13)

When he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. (2 Thess. 1:10)

Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those who come from Italy send you greetings. (Heb. 13:24)
