We Christians believe that the Bible is the Word of God. But do we live in a way consistent with our belief? If the Bible is the Word of God, shouldn’t we read it and study it and listen to it and tremble at it and rejoice at it for what it really is – the very words of God?
If the Bible is the Word of God, then its authority to govern the way we think and act is the same as the authority of God himself. It means that if we disbelieve the Bible, we disbelieve God. If we disobey what the Bible says, we disobey God. If we neglect the Bible, we neglect God. If we treat it as if it is not really important, we are saying to God, loud and clear, “You are not important!”
To say that the Bible is the Word of God is one thing. To live like it is really the Word of God is another.2 Timothy 3:14-17 September 6, 2009 Download PDF | Download MP3
